Scott McClellan - This Ringtone’s For You!

Scott McClellan, President Bush’s former press secretary and loyal aide, rips the Bush administration a new one in his new scathing memoir, “What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception.”

For a mere $27.95, you can learn how Bush relied on propaganda to sell the war, how the White House press corps went too easy on the president in the run-up to the war, and how McClellan himself delivered "badly misguided" statements from the briefing room podium.

Personally, I would have paid a lot more to learn this nearly FIVE YEARS AGO!!!

Equally tragic, McClellan writes that after Hurricane Katrina, the White House “spent most of the first week in a state of denial.”  That explains one week of incompetence. How about the rest?

Hagee’s Chickens Coming Home to Roost

By the time Pastor Wright, the infamous thorn in Obama’s side, appeared on the Sunday morning new shows in late April, there had already been 3,000 news stories spurred by the provocative portions of his sermons.

This week we find ourselves back in the pulpit but this time John Hagee, the controversial evangelical leader and endorser of Sen. John McCain, is the lucky center of attention.

Most American’s will be supremely offended by Hagee’s statement’s about Jews, Catholics, Muslims, gays…, and will be alarmed that McCain vigorously sought Hagee’s endorsement, later calling it a mistake but one that he was “glad to  have.”

Will the offensive remarks of a white preacher generate the same scrutiny, vitriol and hand-wringing of those of a black preacher?

Judge the Hagee “loops” while on the go by downloading these videos to your cell:

I also just stumbled across my new favorite ringtone.  Called Obama for Me - Kennedy Campaign Song 1960, the ringtone is a John F.Kennedy for president song mashed up with Obama’s name.

I think I might even like it better than Aimee Allen’s Ron Paul Revolution

Change is in the air.

McCain’s Magic Carpet Ride to 2013

Yesterday McCain unveiled his plan to take us on a "magic carpet ride" to victory in Iraq in 2013.

Hence the ringtone of the day: Steppenwolf’s most awesome Magic Carpet Ride.

Fantasizing about the future (and possibly intending to use his inner voice), McCain said in a speech, “By January 2013, America has welcomed home most of the servicemen and women who have sacrificed terribly so that America might be secure in her freedom.. The Iraq war has been won."

Where’s a Mission Accomplished sign when you need one?

Here’s the best part.  Despite pinpointing a specific year and MONTH for withdrawl, McCain insists that he was not setting a timeline, but rather, as the NY Times says, "simply projecting victory."

After downloading today’s ringtone, catch a contact high from McCain’s speech then kick back and enjoy the super hip Steppenwolf Magic Carpet Ride video that you can download to your cell.

And to think, I was just beginning to like, or at least better understand, McCain after reading Matt Bai’s piece in The NY Times. What a difference a day makes.

Peace out.
